Weekly Breastfeeding Charts

Breastfeeding is a wonderful but intense process. It can sometimes be hard to keep track of which breast your baby last fed from. This can be very important to remember because the baby needs to fully drain each breast before starting on the other one or they will not receive the ‘hind’ milk (the fatty milk which is more filling and nutritious) but rather only get the ‘fore’ milk which mostly consists of water and is designed to quench your baby’s thirst. See my free printable Weekly Breastfeeding Chart below.

Check out my free printable Daily Breastfeeding and Nappy Changing Chart here too.

After finding out first hand that breastfeeding correctly was important to me when I first started breastfeeding, I decided to create this simple weekly breastfeeding chart to help me to keep track of my daughter’s feeds. I found it gave me peace of mind that I was doing the right thing and helped me not to get mastitis anymore. (Mastitis or ‘blocked breast ducts’ can be very painful and it is an important issue to look out for when breastfeeding).

*Always seek the advice and guidance of a medical professional if you think you are experiencing or suffering from mastitis.

This free printable chart below can be helpful to keep as a personal record of your baby’s feed patterns, but may even also be useful to show your midwife in the early days after birth.

I also have a free printable Daily Breastfeeding Charts here as this allows you to include more details such as pumping milk, bottle feeding and includes the option to also mark down wet and dirty nappies too.

I hope that this simple Weekly Breastfeeding Chart helps you out as it did for me. Drop me an email if you are currently breastfeeding and have any suggestions to help improve the chart. I always love to hear from my readers!

(There are grid lines on the pdf below which print correctly, you just have to zoom in to see them on the preview!)
